Leeds maintained Championship top spot with the most dramatic of victories as they got the better of Blackburn 3-2. Rovers were on course for a win of their own after two Charlie Mulgrew goals, one a penalty, had cancelled out Derrick Williams' own goal. But Kemar Roofe then struck twice in injury time to give Leeds all three points. They now have a three point lead at the top while Blackburn are 14th.
Barry Douglas was fit to return for Leeds at left back. For Blackburn, Amari'i Bell and Jack Rodwell both started.
Leeds started the game well and were eventually rewarded on 33 minutes as Williams sliced into his own net from Jack Harrison's cross.
Blackburn were level two minutes into the second half as Mulgrew was brought down by Luke Ayling and converted the penalty himself.
Mulgrew then blasted in a long range free kick that Bailey Peacock-Farrell should have saved in the last minute and it appeared as if Blackburn would win the game.
But Leeds left it late against Aston Villa and did the same this time around. Roofe scrambled in in the first minute of stoppage time before heading in from Pablo Hernandez's cross three minutes later. He now has five goals in four games.
Leeds really do have a good spirit about them. This was another extraordinary win and they continue to impress at the top of the table with their character more than anything. More disappointment for Blackburn who are stuck in a rut at the moment. They know they should have won this given their position.
