Tottenham eased past a woeful Ludogorets side for a 4:0 home win as they moved ever closer to securing a spot in the knock-out stages. The home side got the lead after 15 minutes and added a second after half an hour. Two more goals came after the hour mark as Spurs rounded off a resounding win.
Tottenham were all out on the attack from the word go and Gareth Bale soon came close with a dipping free-kick that flew a foot wide of the mark. The home side continued to attack and got the lead on 15 minutes as a through ball from midfield released Carlos Vinicius in on goal and he slotted a cool finish into the bottom corner.
Spurs continued to fully dominate and push for more goals as a fine shot from Bale on the right flew a foot wide of the mark while Harry Winks sent a rasper from distance a foot wide from the right post. The woodwork denied the hosts too when Ben Davies was played in space down the left and hammered a shot against the outside of the post.
They got the second soon after the half-hour mark as a low shot by Tanguy Ndombele was saved on the stretch by Plamen Iliev and Dele Alli laid the loose ball off to Vinincius for an easy tap-in. Lucas Moura could have added another before the break but bent a shot from the edge of the area just a foot wide of the mark.
The second half was pretty much a similar affair as Spurs still had chances aplenty despite without little intensity, with Bale heading wide from close range as Vinicius just missed to connect in front of goal, and then seeing a shot from inside the area on the left blocked by the keeper.
It was Winks who made it 3:0 and it was a stunning goal as a shot from over 35 yards out flew all the way in off the bar and over the line, with goalie Iliev unable to get a hand to it. Alli fired a shot wide from the right-hand side but Moura claimed the fourth soon after, curling a good shot from inside the area into the right corner.
Tottenham played a fine game and will be happy with a lively attacking performance while some rotation players got much-needed game time. Ludogorets looked rudderless and devoid of energy and ambition as they remain bottom with no points after four games.
