Atletico Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw against a weakened Bayern Munich side. Joao Felix put them ahead in the first half and they were largely in control, but a late Thomas Muller penalty leveled it up.
Bayern rested several starters for this game, whereas Atletico had basically their strongest side out - apart from their missing players.
Atletico played their back new three system again and Bayern actually matched it at points, with Lucas Hernandez covering a lot of ground at left-back against his former club as Bayern switched between their back four and a back three.
Those Bayern tactics didn't quite work, though, as Atletico were the better team in the first half and Joao Felix was very good, not only in scoring his team's goal.
At the start of the second half, Atletico remained largely in control. Jan Oblak hardly had anything to do.
But, Bayern made a triple change on the hour mark that was very attack-minded. The mere presence of the likes of Muller and Serge Gnabry saw Atletico drop deeper.
The Atletico defence was holding on well, but then Felipe - who'd come on for the injured Jose Maria Gimenez - gave away a penalty that Muller converted.
Atletico had a couple of dangerous set pieces right at the end, but couldn't retake the lead.
Atletico will be frustrated that they let this slip away. They were in control against this Bayern 'B team' and should have been able to see the game out, but one poor Felipe challenge cost them.
