Willian Jose fired in a stoppage-time equaliser as Real Sociedad and Napoli both reached the knockout stages. The Spaniards dominated for long periods and deserved a point - even though they didn't need it in the end.

Real Sociedad a win to guarantee progress and they were by far the sharper side early on - dominating possession with quick passing and movement. The hosts only required a draw and were much more cautious.

Great build-up play from the visitors but finishing was lacking. Willian Jose forced a save from David Ospina and then set up a glorious chance for Portu - who inexplicably fired wide with an open goal in front of him.

Napoli grew into the game towards the end of the first half - but their goal still came very much against the run of play. A corner was cleared out only as far as Piotr Zielinski who fired in a superb volleyed finish.

Sociedad continued to dominate the game in the second half - pushing their full-backs high and getting good crosses into the box but the ball wouldn't seem to drop for them. The hosts content to sit on their lead.

With AZ Alkmaar drawing at Rejika - the Spaniards were going out of the competition. Finally a lucky break of the ball fell for Willian Jose and he lashed it in to spark wild scenes of celebration.

Despite the late equaliser - Napoli are content with a draw which sees them top the group. Relief in the end for Real Sociedad who were the better side on the night - but AZ's eventual defeat at Rejika made the result academic.
