Altach are coming from a decent season which saw them struggle initially, arguably due to their minor European adventure, but then going to improve and steer clear of danger with relative ease. Without doubt, the Altacher's key man is their manager Damir Canadi, who has gotten them to display a clear identity over the recent years, with Altach being a well-organized but unspectacular side that is particularly difficult to beat at home and is known for having a habit of claiming famous home wins over the top teams. Just like most Bundesliga clubs, the Altachers are not in a strong financial situation, and it is hardly a surprise that they had to let go of some of their regular players, while bringing in players who are unproven at Bundesliga level. Literally none of the four signings that Altach have signed over the summer has any significant Bundesliga experience while all of the players that have left were either regulars or valuable members of the squad. However, Altach spent the entirety of the second half of the season playing without between five and ten players due to injuries, so it is safe to say that Canadi has proven that he can achieve decent results even with diminished squad numbers. The core of Altach's squad is still together and, with their players being used to playing together in Canadi's trademark manner, they will be expected to have enough in them to once again beat the drop.
