Immediately after being relegated in 2023 Omiya bounced back and are returning to J2. Not just that but last season the team joined the powerful and rich family of Red Bull clubs. The rich new sponsor made sure Omiya will dominate in J3 all year. They had only 3 defeats in 38 rounds and easily won the division title, finished 12 points clear of the team in second place. Omiya had 7 different players with 5 or more goals. Nobody scored more than 10 though. Kenyu Sugimoto had that honour and his solid displays were enough to see him sealing a permanent move to the club this winter. The RB backing brought finances unrivalled by any other side in J2, possibly only Consadole Sapporo, and this helped Omiya to strength very well their squad this winter. Signing Brazilians Gabriel and Caprini from the promoted Yokohama FC immediately makes them key figures for Omiya. Caprini is expected to link-up with Arthur Silva and between them they could easily create 20+ goals for Omiya this season. Several other quality players were added to the ranks, including the likely new number one Yuya Tsuboi. With enldess financial abilities Omiya could even dream about back-to-back promotions. If the season starts well and come the summer the J3 champions are in the mix even stronger summer recruits can be expected.

Target

The goal is to secure a top 10 finish. Should be an achievable goal.
