Relegated straight away. Farense wasn't able to make an impact in their return to Primeira Liga after a very long time on inferior divisions.
For a very long time, Farense kept collecting results that didn't match their performances. 'Algarvios' seemed a very immature side as they failed to be objective and turn their chances into goals, while committing several childish mistakes at the back.
A series of good home results in December and January were signs of a possible comeback, but, as soon as opponents focused in blocking the playmaker Ryan Gauld's influence, Farense was back at struggling.
The squad proved to be too short as they couldn't handle a few injuries on some important players like André Pinto, Stojilkovic, Licá or Defendi.
Farense was nevertheless a nice side to watch play in some moments of the season, and the league would benefit if they could get up and come back to top flight level next season.
