Boavista came very close from relegation, last season. They finished with the same points as Portimonense, who was forced into a relegation playoff. Boavista had many problems throughout the whole season, mostly related with the very short number of options on the squad. The bad news for the supporters are that the problems will remain for the new season. In fact, they got even worse. Boavista's deep financial crisis don't allow them to do much on the transfer market. 'Panteras' managed to fish two very interesting players on the market, but it surely won't be enough to face the many players leaving in this summer. Holding midfielder Ibrahim Alhassan and attacking midfielder/winger Bruninho will be the new attractions. Alhassan had a very interesting run in Portugal from 2018 to 2022; at 27, he is surely a valuable asset for the new Boavista. Bruninho is one of those Brazilian technically gifted players that will need to prove himself in a more closed and competitive reality. Now, if the problems in last season were big, let's imagine what will happen in the new one now that the likes of Pedro Malheiro, Bruno Lourenço, Vincent Sasso, Chidozie and Makouta aren't around. The squad is very short, both in numbers and in quality options for the long season. To make it even worse, some second line players that could step in during the current season and have an affirmation on the main team are also gone, like Martim Tavares, Luís Santos and Berna Conceição. Striker Robert Bozenik is a superlative player on this squad and Boavista will surely struggle to keep him in during the whole season. Seba Perez in midfield and the left-back Bruno Onyemaechi are the other two main players for the season.

Target

Will struggle to avoid relegation.
