Marreco was the third manager of that season, and had a good immediate impact on the team, with 2 wins, 2 draws and just 1 defeat. Gil Vicente looks more solid for the new season. 'Galos' lost the influential midfielder Martim Neto, both left-backs (Buta and Kiko), and should also lose their main centre-half Gabriel in the next days or weeks. Murilo is also a big name leaving, but he wasn't as influential as he had been in other times. The vast majority of the main players will remain for the new season and there are some very interesting additions. Gil Vicente focused mainly on national transfers and ones coming from Spain. For the back, Gil Vicente made a very important new signing on Josué Sá and brought the reputed left-back Marcos Fernandez. Mutombo is also an important new name that will put out a strong contest to Zé Carlos on the right side.
