The fairytale for Luton Town in the dizzy heights of the Premier League came to an end after just one season last term, and now they will battle it out in the Championship once again as they bid to return to the English top-flight. Manager Rob Edwards is still in charge of the Hatters as he looks to achieve an instant return. However, he will have to do so without Ross Barkley, Ryan Giles and Gabriel Osho who all departed the club over the summer. Former Everton and Chelsea midfielder Barkley will be the biggest loss. Nevertheless, Luton will feel hopeful of a strong display, having kept together large parts of their core in Thomas Kaminski, Amari'i Bell, Pelly Mpanzu, Tahith Chong and Carlton Morris. So far, there hasn’t been too many new additions to the side, with just a couple of signings in ex-Arsenal youngster Reuell Walters and box-to-box midfielder Shandon Baptiste from Brentford. They will add some much-needed depth to the squad. The big plus for Luton is that they have managed to keep hold of star forward Morris thus far. The 28-year-old bagged a respectable 11 Premier League goals last term, whilst he hit 20 league goals in his last campaign in the English second tier.
