What a memorable season for the fans of Besiktas… Their team managed to save their title and clinched the fifteenth success of their history. Although they faced an early exit from the Turkish Cup, their Europe run was very remarkable. After they were kicked out of the Champions League following a bad referee performance, they could see the quarter finals of the Europa League. Coach Senol Gunes continue to use his offensive minded, passing game style. That is why they became the most scoring team of the season. Except the cup duty against Fenerbahce, they never suffered a defeat at home. Especially, their pressure in the midfield made them steal many balls and then they could move to the offence line fastly. At this point, Atiba Hutchinson & Oguzhan Ozyakup did a great job. When it comes to the offence, Talisca, Quaresma and Babel supported the offence line perfectly besides scoring many goals. The partnership of Cenk Tosun & Vincent Aboubakar produced fourty-three goals. Had they not faced some injury problems and suspensions during the season, they could have done much better things. Most of the authorities believe that it was a very deserved title for Besiktas considering that they offered a great quality football. For the next season, they aim at reaching a success in every competition. First of all, they need to save the quality of their squad because there are many offers for valuable mambers of the team. If some of them leave, it will not be easy to replace them considering the UEFA Financial fair-play unless they get important amount of fees from possible departures.
