Since Galatasaray had completed the previous season in the sixth standing, the fans were expecting their team to improve much better in the new campaign in order to make them forget about it but it was another disappointing season for them. They brought coach Igor Tudor from Karabuk but his arrival could not be a cure for them because his style caused some problems inside the team, especially with Sneijder and Bruma. The fans were also not happy with the club president’s policies. During this process, they were also kicked out of the Turkish Cup. At the end of the season, they finished in the 4th place. It is absolutely another bad season for them. It can also affect the next season badly because they will have to kick off the new campaign earlier than the other big teams because of the Europa League’s qualifiying round fixtures. In order to have some funds for the summer transfer market, they had to sell some good players like Podolski and Bruma. Finally, they did.
