KFUM Oslo were one of the best stories of last season as the unfenced tiny club from the outskirts of Oslo punched well above their weight throughout the season, claiming some major scalps and residing in the top half of the standings throughout. It was a remarkable effort fielded by massive drive, hunger and dedication from a rather limited squad in terms of talent and technical capabilities but they certainly made the most of what they got. Now the major challenge comes for Johannes Moesgaard and his side in terms of maintaining that level of results and performances while the rest of the league is a lot more aware of their slightly more unusual approach and will be ready for it. Moesgaard is of course going to prepare for that different level of approach from the opposition and will want to see his men provide a bit more variety and flexibility in how they create chances. The squad has seen some departures but none of them feel particularly problematic as it was constructed as a collection of players of similar quality and removing a few of them does not really affect it that much compared to a key player or two leaving. They grabbed a few interesting prospects who they will hope to blossom in the year ahead, among them Mansour Sinyan, coming from Sweden, centre-back Daniel Schneider, and young striker Bjorn Kristiansen. Predicting which one of them will become a big player for KFUM is difficult but they will certainly profit from the mood of real togetherness and resilience that has been instilled in this club in the past few years that gives them confidence that they will outlast their rivals despite on paper being inferior. This gives them a decent chance of beating the drop again but they may well have it tougher than last season.

Target

Ensuring that there is not a massive drop from last season's high and again beat the drop with something to spare.
