Football Season Review

№15: Leeds United

Leeds have at least finished the season with more optimism than when they started. It was a complete shambles at the start with Dave Hockaday a surprise and bizarre appointment. Darko Milanic came in and failed while Neil Redfearn did a decent job in his caretaker spells at the club and then was appointed full time boss. It came as a surprise that Uwe Rosler replaced Redfearn at the end of the season but he appears to be the strongest candidate in a while. The off the field dramas involving owner Massimo Cellino are likely to ease after he was banned from Elland Road for half the season. It is Leeds' young players that have helped the club this term with midfielders Lewis Cook and Alex Mowatt particularly impressive. If there was a weakness for Leeds this season it was their lack of goals with just 50 coming in their 46 league matches. Top scorer was Mirco Antenucci with just 10. There are suggestions that Leeds could completely change around this summer again so, like usual, it will be nothing but interesting.

Player of the Season: Lewis Cook
