Partick Thistle stuck by Alan Archibald even in the darkest of times this season, but the result of that was to be relegated to the Championship after a horrible campaign full of individual errors.
The season started so promisingly after a top-six finish last term, and after keeping largely the same squad minus one or two players, the Jags seemed confident ahead of opening day. However, Thistle opened the campaign with just one win in their first 11 league games, and struggled in the bottom half for most of the campaign.
Early Betfred and Scottish Cup exists were forgiven given they were against Rangers and Celtic respectively, but despite their supporters waiting for Thistle to turn on the style of last season, they just couldn't get going. Thistle would only collect five wins between their opening 11 and the Winter Break, as they struggled to get out of the bottom three.
Another 10 games arrived without a win after Winter, with Thistle failing to take their chances in early displays only to start failing to create as confidence drained.
A massive 1-0 win at Dens Park against Dundee set up a relegation playoff tie against Livingston, but they ultimately came up short with a 3-1 aggregate defeat - losing both legs weakly as Livi came up.
Archibald has managed to cling on to his job ahead of the forthcoming season, but keeping a hold of several of his better players will be tough. Edwards, Erskine, and Doolan are three of Thistle's better performers, and it'll be a struggle to stop offers from Premiership clubs coming in. With Sammon and Cargill heading back to their parent clubs this Summer, it will be another rebuilding job for Archibald as he looks to get the club back up at the first attempt.
