Anyang won promotion for the first time in their history after a number of years coming close. They come up as Champions of K2 having finished 1st with a few games remaining.
Not much change but some foreign additions to the team and have kept the spine of the team that got them promoted. Addition of K2 top scorer Mota is one that could be one to watch with Anyang beating other K1 teams to his signature.
FC Anyang will be looking to avoid relegation in their first season in K1 and have a strong base to do so. Head Coach Ryu Byeong-hoon is tactically astute and in his first season took the team up playing decent football with a strong footing in defence. They stand a good chance of avoiding the drop.
Foreign players Yago (r mid) and especially Matheus (K att) are game changers and will be among the best foreign talent in K1. Defensively as well the team is very solid out of possession and have a good counter attack when ahead in games.
The squad and manager lacks K1 experience. As well as that, they don't have a very deep squad so any injuries to key players will have them struggling especially going forward.
