Burton Albion dramatically survived on the final day of last season. They finished just above the relegation zone after spending more than half of the campaign below the dreaded line. All campaign the Brewers struggled for goals. They had the second weakest attack in the division – only 39 goals scored in 46 games. Sacked coach Maamria in February but his replacement Martin Paterson struggled too. After avoiding disaster mainly thanks to mistakes from other teams Paterson was also sacked this summer. Replaced him with the experienced Mark Robinson. The managerial change in June was just the start of a major overhaul. Burton’s ownership pressed the reset button hard this summer and the entire squad was literally gutted. The Brewers will have a new look into the new season as they parted ways with 17 players already, while adding 18 new ones. There could be as many as 8-9 new signings in the starting XI for the season-opener as Burton simply decided to revamp their entire squad to the specifications of the new manager. Harry Isted arrives to be the new main goalie. Terence Vancooten and Jason Sraha are just 2 of several defenders expected to play often. Charlie Webster is the most notable new arrival in midfield so far. He showed great promise in Chelsea’s Academy and is seen as a potential big star in League One this season. As it was expected changed the entire front line. The Swedish striker Jack Cooper-Love is seen as a potential 15+ goals player and he will be a crucial figure up front. His countryman Julian Larsson and the Italian giant Danilo Orsi provide interesting feel to Burton’s attack. Wingers Tomas Kalinauskas and Billy Bodin could also prove to be important figures as the new manager prefers a 4-3-3 shape.

Staying out of the trouble is the only task.
