Rotherham United experienced a dreadful 2023/24 season. After promotion the campaign prior, The Millers were immediately relegated following some awful performances and results. They finished dead last with just 27 points. Steve Evans was re-appointed manager back in April, giving him a full summer to shape the squad into one that fits his style. Positive signings like Clarke-Harris, Rafferty, Ragget and Kelly have been made. Several summer additions will come straight into the line-up, though Rotherham have made some excellent League One signings. Their confident approach has been clear. High player turnover was expected after relegation, though it could be a weakness. Losing top players like Johansson, Cafu and Peltier was not easy. Bedding in new footballers can sometimes take time, so it may take Rotherham a little while to settle into their stride. Rotherham United have a relatively tough start to the new campaign. If they can begin positively, keep an eye on them at the business end of the season.

Target


Promotion. In a competitive League One, Rotherham United will be looking for an instant bounce-back. Ideally, a top two finish will be the aim, though more realistically, The Millers could look to go up via the play-offs.
