Hollywood is coming to League One this season! The Welsh ‘Cinderella-team’ Wrexham achieved back-to-back promotions since the famous American actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the club. The attraction of playing for such a team sees many fringe players from Premier League clubs joining Wrexham these days and this is one of the main reason for success. Of course, having solid financial backing goes a long way too as in League One not many teams can feel safe about their long-term future but Wrexham does. The vice-champions of League Two last season enter the new campaign having the largest squad in the entire division. They have some good players too and recently added the talented Arsenal goalie Arthur Okonkwo to be their new number one. Defenders Scarr, Brunt and Revan are also expected to play often. The manager for the past 3 seasons Parkinson favours 3-4-1-2 formation with Elliot Lee playing a key role often right behind the 2 strikers. The competition for places will once again be fierce. Of course, being able to afford such a large squad gives the Red Dragons huge advantage once the games start coming thick and fast in midweek and at weekends. Wrexham had the most points in their respective divisions from midweek matches in the last 2 seasons and this could be the case again this term.
