Football Season Review

It was the 16th consecutive season for Salt Lake in MLS and not only they didn't come close to the title as they did in 2009 but they were again out of the playoffs. At least in MLS is Back Tournament during summer, they had a decent performance qualifying to the knockout stage where they were eliminated by the Quakes. Damir Kreilach, with 7 goals, was their best player this season. It is remarkable that Kreilach scored about 30% of the total goals of the team. Coach Juarez was in his debut season in charge for Salt Lake and it seems he will remain for next season as well. But this time around there will be no excuses and the playoffs will be the only target for the team. Real Salt Lake could have saved the season but in the last 9 matches played since 24th September they won only once so the playoffs remained a dream for them. 2020 wasn't a succesful season for Salt Lake. It seems that the management will trust the coach and the players but next season there will be no excuses as Real Salt Lake must improve their performance and get results.
