Football Season Guide

It was absolutely a tough season for Gaziantep FK as they have never builded a steady run during the whole season. They have generally been around or inside the relegation zone. The fans saw their coaches change twice and Selcuk Inan managed to keep the team at top level although former Galatasaray player made a pretty bad start to his career at South coast team. Especially, they have not done well at home as they have offered the worst 4th performance. When the 35th match day was played, they were inside the danger zone but 3-game winning run enabled them take a deep breath. This summer, the fans saw lots of departures. No doubt that the biggest loss is Denis Dragus who has been the top scorer with 15 goals. Both center backs left the team along with goalkeeper. They signed center back Saborit who has played many fixtures in European cups last season. Left back Stephen also arrived from the Hungarian league but his quality is questionable consider his team’s records. There will be a pressure over new attacker Kodro following Dragus’ great performance. Last season, he has scored 13 goals and the fans await to see a lof from the Bosnian attacker. Other new faces Daubin, Kozlowski and Mandouki are expected to give strength to the midfield. Looking at the whole squad, they still need some arrivals for the defence line and offence line. If they can add some good players, they are able to spend comfortable time this season.
