Red Bull Bragantino had a pretty bad 2024. The expectation was to repeat previous campaigns and fight for a place in the Libertadores. However, they fought until the last match to stay in the top flight. For this year, ‘Braga’ has strengthened its squad with the additions of Guzmán Rodriguez and Agustín Sant'Anna in defence, Gabriel and Fabinho in midfield and Fernando, Lucas Barbosa and Isidro Pitta in attack. They lost some key players, such as Lucas Evangelista and Luan Candido, and other players with significant minutes such as Raul and Jadsom. Lucas Cunha and Arthur Sousa left on loan. Ivan Cavaleiro also departed. Under Fernando Seabra, who prioritises well played and aggressive football, Bragantino started 2025 in poor form. They have already suffered 6 defeats and 4 draws in 15 matches, many of them against weaker opponents. 'Massa Bruta' has a very young squad, they added a quality striker in Isidro Pitta, some depth on the wings and replacements for their defence. However Lucas Evangelista's departure has not yet been replaced. Their midfield may not have the quality or depth they need.
