Finished 5th last season, mostly thanks to a spectacular recovery made by Roger Machado. The current manager picked the team in July in trouble. After struggling in the first month, Machado was able to fine tune his team and build a gret sequence of 16 games undefeated (12 wins and 4 draws) from August to November. In 2025 Inter has collected silverware already, by winning Campeonato Gaúcho, defeating in final their arch-rivals Grêmio. No defeats in 2025, so far: 9 wins and 3 draws. Roger starts 2025 with a big credit from both fans and the board after his tremendous impact in last season. It looks like he is continuing the good job in 2025, with his 4-2-3-1 possession style. Internacional adopted a very low profile approach in the transfer market for the current season, so far. Wingers Vitinho and Johan Carbonero are the biggest new arrivals and have been in great form during the State Championship. Juninho might be an important adding for defence, and there isn't much more to add in terms of new arrivals. The fans will be upset about the departure of the prominsing attacking midfielder Gabriel Carvalho, even if he hadn't established a firm first team option yet. Other departures like Wanderson or Alario are less worrying. Alan Patrick will continue the main reference of the team as playmaker. Goalkeeper Rochet and striker Borre have been injured and unable to start 2025 well, but they are expected to be two key men for Brasileirão.
