Sirius had a calm 2024. They finished in 9th place, full 10 points above the bottom 3. From the early rounds the ability to score goals helped a lot. It eventually brought 12 wins, the most of any team in the bottom half of the table. Sirius scored 47 goals last year, which was the 5th best attack in the league. Yousef Salech was the main star in attack in 2024. He scored 11 goals and also had 7 assists. Not surprising to anyone after such a strong year he was sold for a big sum in the winter. Signed the promising youngster Robbie Ure to replace him. The Scotsman is set for his 1st proper season at senior level. It is a risky move but so was Salech’s signing a year earlier so Sirius hope for a similar outcome. The other major change of the winter was at the coaching position. After spending the last 5 years in charge of Brommapojkarna Andreas Engelmark is now set for a new chapter. He preaches attacking football and Sirius should continue to be among the higher scoring teams in Allsvenskan. Solid CBs Henrik Castegren and Malcolm Jeng left this winter. Tobias Anker was signed as a response. Also, after being able to play in only 3 matches last season due to injury issues the 2023 best CB of the team Tobias Carlsson hopes that he can get back to his top form this year. Added experienced GK Ismael Diawara to the squad too. He is destined to play a key role and is seen as an upgrade on the sold Jakob Tannander.
