ADO Den Haag endured a traumatic end of the season last year as they crumbled in the play-offs against Excelsior, with a 7:1 loss in the second leg consigning them to a fourth consecutive campaign in the second-flight. The season actually started ever so well for ADO but the wheels certainly came off in the spring and the lingering bad feeling remains into the summer as ADO look like a side in disarray ten days before the start of the season. Darje Kalezic may have kept his job but he will have to do with what is a brand-new team as 80% of the players from last year have all moved to new clubs or returned to their parent clubs. Naturally, the club would be busy finding replacements and filling the holes by all these departures but in fact the Storks have so far added just one player in young defender Steven van der Sloot. This is clearly far too insufficient and the team needs quite a few more addition to be considered a contender for the play-offs. As of now, things are in a state of flux in the Hague as ADO are scrambling to add new faces and are hard to judge at the moment. That said, Kalezic is already a man under pressure and needs a strong start.
