Utrecht U21 were the worst team in Eerste Divisie last season under Ivar van Dinteren. He will continue in his role this term, though, as they continue to develop their young players. Although the results aren’t the most important, they would like to see a much better display this time around. Last season’s captain Yannick Leliendal has left the side as he has joined FC Volendam alongside Aurelio Oehlers. Moreover, the likes of Adrian Blake, Silas Andersen, Joshua Mukeh and Kevin Gadellaa could be in line for more regular spaces in the first team. That means Andreas Dithmer, Noa Dundas, Jesper van Riel, Georgios Charalampoglou and Sofiane Dris could all become regulars this term after signing for the team over the summer. Youngsters Massien Ghaddari and Tijn den Boggende look set for some more game time too after being promoted from the U18 side. That should leave the squad with solid depth all round, but they may be a little light up top if there are any injuries. Lynden Edhart, Emil Rohd and Mees Akkerman look set to claim regular spots in the side this season. However, there will need to be improvements going forward from last season as their 32 total goals was the joint-lowest in Eerste Divisie.

Target

Continue developing the squad and move from the foot of the table.
