Den Bosch were mostly abysmal last year and just never looked like a side able to compete with the majority of the other teams in the division. Coach Tomasz Kaczmarek did not help himself with some strange comments over the season and it was no surprise that he left even before the conclusion of the campaign. In comes a new manger for the Blue Dragons in much-travelled and pretty experienced coach David Nacimento. He has managed at this level before and generally knows Dutch football well from his playing career in the country. That said, the main thing that he will be judged on are results and it will be hard to get much better with a squad lacking options and quality in too many areas. It has been a busy period in terms of new signings so far as up to ten have joined but very few of them looked ready to contribute right away and make a difference. Danzell Gravenberch is certainly a good option to have in attack and Hicham Acheffay is a talented midfield player who has lost his way in recent years. Torless Knoll is expected to be the new leading striker but a German coming from the Croatian second division is quite a mystery in terms of whether he settles quickly and starts getting goals. The squad lost some of their fringe payers along with talented loanees and looks leaner and better equipped to finish at least a bit higher than expected. In general, it is safe to assume that Den Bosch will be again one of the five or six worst teams in the league but at least they have a coach that seems more competent and ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

Target

Not be one of the three worst teams in the league this time.
